If I only had a dollar for each time I have heard a politician say that government should be run more like a business! With President Trump coming directly from the private sector, we have been hearing it a lot more! Yet, that notion seems to resonate with people.
Over the last 20 to 25 years, one “business approach” is the notion of government contracting specific public services to be provided by private or non-profit entities. For our discussion this week, give us an example of one and what you think about a private/non-profit providing this service to the public under contract to the government. What are your thoughts?
